Community Guidelines

Welcome to Melan8, a community designed to foster safe, respectful, and meaningful connections for the Black community. We are committed to ensuring a positive experience for all users.
By using Melan8, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, suspension, or account termination.
1. Be Respectful & Inclusive
Melan8 is a diverse and inclusive platform. Treat others with kindness and respect.
❌ No Hate Speech: Racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or any form of discrimination is not tolerated.
❌ No Harassment: Repeated unwanted messages, threats, or bullying will lead to removal.
❌ No Slurs or Offensive Language: Avoid harmful words, even if used casually.
✅ DO: Be mindful of your words and actions. Melan8 is a place for positive connections.
2. Authenticity & No Fake Profiles
Melan8 is built for real people looking for genuine connections.
❌ No Catfishing: Do not use fake names, impersonate someone else, or create multiple accounts.
❌ No False Information: Profiles with misleading information may be removed.
❌ No Spam or Bots: Automated accounts, mass messages, or promotions are not allowed.
✅ DO: Be yourself. Use real photos and share authentic details about your interests.
3. Consent & Boundaries Matter
Everyone has different comfort levels—respect personal boundaries at all times.
❌ No Non-Consensual Explicit Content: Do not send unwanted sexual messages, images, or videos.
❌ No Coercion or Pressure: Users should never feel forced into conversations, meetups, or sharing personal details.
✅ DO: Ask for consent before discussing intimate topics. Respect when someone says no or sets boundaries.
4. Keep It Safe – No Threats, Violence, or Harm
Melan8 prioritizes user safety and will act against behavior that threatens harm.
❌ No Violence or Threats: Direct or indirect threats will lead to immediate suspension.
❌ No Self-Harm or Suicide Encouragement: We care about mental health. If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek support.
❌ No Promoting Dangerous Activities: This includes substance abuse, unsafe hookups, or any form of self-endangerment.
✅ DO: Report any threats or harmful behavior immediately.
5. No Nudity, Sexual Content, or Inappropriate Behavior
blkQ is a dating and social platform, not a hookup or adult content site.
❌ No Public Nudity or Sexually Explicit Content: Profile photos and messages should remain PG-13.
❌ No Sexual Harassment: Unwanted sexual advances, explicit photos, or graphic messages are not allowed.
✅ DO: Keep conversations and profiles respectful. Save intimate conversations for consensual, private interactions outside of Melan8.
6. No Solicitation, Scamming, or Financial Requests
Melan8 is not a platform for financial transactions or promotions.
❌ No Sugar Dating, Escorting, or Prostitution Offers: Any form of transactional relationship proposals will result in removal.
❌ No Scams or Money Requests: Do not ask for gifts, donations, or financial support from other users.
❌ No Promoting Businesses or Products: Melan8 is a social platform, not a marketplace.
✅ DO: Report any users who attempt to solicit money or promote services.
7. Respect User Privacy & No Doxxing
Your privacy and security matter.
❌ No Sharing Personal Info: Do not publicly share phone numbers, addresses, workplaces, or private conversations without consent.
❌ No Doxxing or Exposing Others: Sharing someone’s personal data without permission will lead to account removal.
❌ No Screenshots of Private Conversations: Respect others’ privacy in chats.
✅ DO: Keep sensitive information private. If you need to report harassment, use Melan8’s reporting feature.
8. Report Violations – Help Us Keep blkQ Safe
Melan8 relies on the community to help maintain a safe space. If you encounter a user violating these guidelines:
1️⃣ Use the “Report” feature on their profile or messages.
2️⃣ Block the user to prevent further interaction.
3️⃣ Reach out to Melan8 support at support@melan8app.com if needed.
9. Consequences for Violating These Guidelines
Depending on the severity of a violation, Melan8 may take the following actions:
🚨 Warning: A notice to correct behavior.
🚫 Temporary Suspension: Limited access or messaging restrictions.
❌ Permanent Ban: Removal from Melan8 with no possibility of return.
Serious offenses (hate speech, threats, scams, harassment) may result in immediate account termination without warning.
10. Melan8's Commitment to Inclusivity & Safety
We strive to make Melan8 a safe, welcoming, and respectful platform for all users.
🔹 AI Moderation: We use Google AI moderation to detect and filter inappropriate content.
🔹 24/7 User Reports Review: We monitor and review flagged accounts regularly.
🔹 Safe Space Commitment: We uphold Melan8 as a safe space for the Black community.
